Slip lease bays that match the hull, not just the calendar
We begin with the slip map. Each bay carries a measured length, a depth reading taken at the pier edge and a note on the power post and the freeboard at the walkway. A 34 foot cruiser with a long pulpit may not sit well in a bay built for a 32 foot runabout, and we will say so plainly. The lease quote names the bay by letter, the season and the rate, and it lists the conditions that would move a hull to another berth. When a boater asks for a different bay, the desk runs the same checks again rather than shuffling a file.
